Character AGE: Unknown, at least in the hundreds. Physically? 20ish.

Character ABILITIES:
Flight: All Touhous have the ability to fly via levitation, whether they have wings or not.

Raven Form: Utsuho is capable of transforming into a typical looking raven, although she's a bit bigger than your average raven. Her arm cannon is incorporated into this as a simple third leg. She also somehow retains her bow and the red gem-like eye on her chest remains.

Superior: Utusho possesses superior strength, reflexes, and durability many times than that of a human.

Danmaku: Magical bullets. These usually just feel like a heavy punch on impact. Utsuho's have the side effect of being radioactive, however.

Nuclear Fusion/Radiation: Since consuming the corpse of Yatagarasu, Utsuho has gained power over nuclear fusion/fission. Using this power, she can melt things, create miniature suns, or even cause a massive explosion. It's highly destructive. In addition, she emits radiation which she herself is immune to. While it isn't instantly lethal or anything, prolonged exposure to her may cause problems.

Character HISTORY:

Utsuho was originally a simple hell raven living in the underground realm. She spent her days doing well, raven-like things. She was even around before it was separated from Hell. Her best friend was Rin Kaenbyou, a kasha youkai. They got along very well and spent most of their time together wandering the underground realm. At least, until they were discovered by Satori Komeiji, whom offered them a place as her pets. They accepted the offer and moved to her current home in the former Hell of Blazing Fires.

As Satori's pets, they were assigned simple jobs. Utusho was to regulate the temperature of the former hell of blazing fires by either opening the skylight above the courtyard to lower the temperature, or by feeding the fires with corpses carried by Rin (Whom she calls Orin, and in turn, Rin calls her Okuu.), to raise the temperature. Such was their life for many years, and they enjoyed it.

Then something unexpected happened. A voice spoke to Utsuho claiming that if she consumed the corpse of the deceased god Yatagarasu which was hidden in the flames, she could gain untold power which would restore the hell of blazing fires to its former glory. She was also told that she could bring this power to the surface. Utsuho did as was suggested and obtained the power to control nuclear fusion. Using this power, she restored the flames of the hell of blazing fires. However, being simple-minded combined with the sudden influx of unbelieveable power, she misinterpreted the words of the voice...and decided to use her newfound power to take over Gensokyo. She created an enormous geyser that erupted up into Gensokyo and began preparing her strength.

Orin became worried about Utsuho's plan and her apparent insanity, and sent evil spirits up into the above world to draw attention to what was underneath. Then the heroines of the game arrive and beat their way through Satori's pets until they come to Utsuho. She puts up a fierce battle but is defeated in the end, regaining her sanity.

At some point after these events, it's discovered that the voice that spoke to Utsuho was none other than the goddess of the Moriya shrine, Kanako Yasaka. It's also implied that Utsuho was asked by the kappas to aid them in building and maintaining a nuclear reactor, to which she obliged. She now spends her days between the hell of blazing fires as Satori's pet and hanging out with Orin, and maintaining and chasing out intruders at the nuclear reactor.


Character PERSONALITY:
The first thing that should be mentioned is that Utsuho is rather...simple minded. Although ravens are normally very intelligent birds, Utsuho is an exception. She often misunderstands what others say (see her history section), or even uses the wrong words. She might even use a word because hey, that sounds cool. Which sometimes makes it sound like she's saying absolutely nonsensical things. As such, she's really not good at math or science things. She doesn't even really understand how nuclear fusion works, even though she wields it on a daily basis. In addition, Utsuho also has some forgetful tendencies, and has even forgotten why she was fighting in some instances. She also has a tendency to severely overreact to things. Another thing about Utsuho is that she's pretty gullible. If someone tells her that something, she's very liable to believe it, whether it's true or not. This isn't highly recommended though, because if she gets hurt or hurts someone she likes in the process? There probably isn't going to be enough left of you to identify. Utsuho is also brutally honest. If she doesn't like you? You'll know. Does that dress make you look fat? Yes. While this may come across as rude sometimes, it's unintentional.

Although she is rather idiotic and forgetful, Utsuho is extremely loyal to her friends and allies. Orin and Satori moreso than others as she's known them the longest, but she'd never willingly betray them. She'd do anything in her power to protect her friends and allies, whether it be pushing them out of the way to an attack, to decimating a city. Anything. Even when she went power crazy, she told Orin all about her plan to take over Gensokyo, hoping for her approval. Of course, she didn't outright tell Utsuho that she'd gone insane, but told her that she was worried. Sadly, Utsuho didn't take the hint and continued on. Trying to be indirect with her doesn't really work. If you want her to understand something, you're best off keeping it short and simple. As for the whole being a pet thing? She's actually very content with it, as since Satori took her and Rin in, she had a new purpose.

When she isn't either working on the nuclear reactor or fighting, Utsuho just likes to relax. Whether just flying around the underground, chilling with Orin, or showing off her awesome powers to everyone, she likes to have a good time. She has quite some pride in her new powers, although she's clueless as to how it all works. She can burn and blow stuff up, that's all that matters. Well to her, anyway. She's kind of reckless with it and sometimes accidentally destroys things she doesn't mean to. Or underestimates how big a resulting explosion is going to be. Thankfully, her youkai friends seem to have immunity to the radioactive properties of her powers, and though she's used to this, may not realize that humans and regular wildlife are not immune.

When it comes to fighting or protecting her friends however, Utsuho gets dead serious. She can go from screwing around to wanting to kill someone in a mere moment if the situation calls for it. She's very prideful in her fighting ability and if she feels someone is insulting her, will probably challenge them. Unfortunately, there are very, very few who can actually stand up against her awesome power. Also, when she's in combat she holds nothing back, and will not hesitate to use her more powerful abilities and spell cards even against a weaker opponent. In her mind, if she wants something or someone dead, they are going to die. Well, unless they prove stronger than her. Even then, she doesn't have the intelligence to retreat. She'll keep on fighting until either she's incapacitated, dead, or there's nothing left of her opponent.



» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Chosen WEAPON:
Utsuho's chosen weapon is the nuclear arm cannon that she wears on her right arm. It's known as the Third Leg. It's already capable of aiding her in launching her attacks, as well as functioning as a nuclear control rod, maintaining stable levels of power, and able to raise or lower it as necessary. She wears it most of the time, although she is capable of removing it. If she uses her nuclear powers without it equipped however, the results are extremely unstable.

As it evolves over the course of the game, it will aid Utsuho in refining her control over her nuclear powers, so that she isn't constantly overkilling things or accidentally blowing up people's houses and stuff. It will also begin to contain her radioactivity, preventing it from affecting people when she isn't in combat and will work as long as it's in her presence.

[Utsuho's just figured out how to use the video function. Or so she thinks. The feed shows a close up of the red 'eye' on her chest, before she holds it away a bit. Hopefully no one gets motion sickness, because she continues to move the feed around, and it doesn't help that she seems to be flying.]

I think I've got it. These netbook-things should be easier to use. They don't even look like books...

[She frowns for a moment. Apparently she'd been having trouble with it. The fact that she can only use one hand to operate it right now doesn't help matters any. She then seems to become a bit more focused.]

So who do I have to blow up in order to get out of here? Satori's gonna be worried if she finds out I'm gone.

Third PERSON:


Utsuho perched on the edge of a rooftop. A few weeks had passed since she'd arrived in Exsilium, and although the insides of some of these buildings were cozy, she found the lack of space to maneuver and fly awfully constricting. And frustrating. She'd tried to make more room by blowing holes in the walls, but people didn't seem to pleased by that. Maybe they liked being cramped? She didn't know, but since then she tended to stay out on the rooftops. She'd even made a nest on one of them where there was a large overhang.

Today she'd bought a shiny little device that someone told her would play music. She kept pressing buttons on the ipod, but for some reason she couldn't hear anything. The concept of headphones and downloading music was foreign to her. Nor did she ask how to use it. She expected to just be able to press buttons and hear music play. After 5 minutes or so she grew angry with the little device. Utsuho tossed it up into the air... and blasted it with danmaku. She frowned and watched as the few little pieces that were left of it scattered to the street below. Then she noticed the headphones in the side of the package.

"Oh. Maybe I was supposed to put those in...?"

She looked back down at the street where the little pieces of shrapnel were.

"Oops."
